The UK and Ireland Kabaka's representative, Hon. Ssalongo Geoffrey Kibuuka, Launched the South and West England Bbendobendo lukiiko meeting on 5th May.

Omukungu Janet Nabatta Mukiibi, the new leader of the South and West England Bbendobendo, who organised the inauguration ceremony for the new lukiiko, first thanked the previous council for the strong foundation they laid. She expressed her commitment to building upon that foundation for further development in Bbendobendo.

She promised and addressed the Kabaka's subjects, who were more than 200 guests at the event, expressing her hope that the new council would lead Bbendobendo forward with determination and persistence. She emphasised their commitment to advancing Buganda to the forefront through the County's theme of Unity and Self-Development.

The Kabaka’s representative in the UK and Ireland, Hon. Ssaalongo Geoffrey Kibuuka, continued congratulating the newly sworn-in chiefs and urged them to continue working together in fulfilling the County theme of Unity and Self-Development.

The ceremony featured the introduction of the chiefs from the seven parishes comprising the South and West England Bbendobendo, marking the first decentralisation of parishes in the UK and Ireland county.

The ceremony was graced by numerous dignitaries, among them the Katikkiro of the Empologoma clan, Omutaka Patrick Kisekka Ddungu, Dr. Godfrey Sekweyama, the retired Deputy Kabaka’s representative, as well as religious leaders, officials, and chiefs from all regions within the county.
