The Katikkiro, Charles Peter Mayiga, arrived in London, United Kingdom, to launch and participate in the first-ever Buganda Europe Convention, named "Buganda Bumu Europe Convention (BBECO)."
He arrived at Gatwick Airport at 12:40 and travelled aboard Qatar Airways.
He was welcomed by the county head of the UK and Ireland, Oweek. Godfrey Kibuuka Ssalongo, together with his deputies Robert Mukiibi, Janat Nabatta Mukiibi, and Godfrey Ssekisonge, along with other members of the county committee and sub-county heads, all received him with great joy.

During his visit, the Katikkiro will undertake various activities, including launching the convention and officiating its opening, installing the head of the UK and Ireland county, and swearing in the county committee.
The Katikkiro is accompanied by the Deputy Speaker of the Buganda Lukiiko, Oweek. Ahmed Lwasa, Ministers including Oweek. Anthony Wamala, Oweek. Hajj Amis Kakomo, Oweek. Israel Kazibwe Kitooke, and other Kingdom officials.
