The ceremony, held at the King’s Palace at Karuziika in Fort Portal City, was attended by representatives from the Buganda Kingdom.
Among those present were Owek. Patrick Luwaga Mugumbule, the Speaker of the Buganda Lukiiko (Parliament), and Owek. Hajjat Mariam Nkalubo Mayanja, the Minister of Community Development, Environment, and Human Resources.
Also in attendance were Owek. Samuel Ssempeebwa Mukiibi, the Kabaka's representative in the Rwenzori Region, and other members of the Lukiiko.
Owek. Mugumbule emphasised the importance of strengthening relationships with different cultural leaders, as traditions and services are similar and aim at the development of people, particularly the youth.

In his address to the people, King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV urged the people of Tooro to protect their land and avoid selling it.
He also cautioned them against listening to misleading information from opportunists claiming that the Tooro Kingdom would evict them from their land.
The King dismissed these claims and called on the people to remain vigilant and secure their land rights within the kingdom.
The ceremony was attended by various dignitaries, all of whom pledged to follow the guidance given by the King.
