
MUSAALE BULERA — The Minister for Local Government and External Affairs, Owek. Joseph Kawuki, has said that the effective implementation of resolutions passed in leadership meetings is the most important factor in achieving shared success for districts and the Kingdom as a whole.
Minister Kawuki delivered this message while officially closing a leadership planning meeting held at Hand in Hand School in Kasambya, Kiyogaanyi Parish, Musaale Bulera District.
Call for Unity and Prudence
Addressing various leaders, Owek. Kawuki urged them to remain steadfast and united in their service to His Majesty the Kabaka. He emphasized the need for prudence in politics and leadership practices, encouraging officials to focus on broader goals aimed at improving people’s livelihoods and promoting development in their respective areas.
The Minister also highlighted the “Tondeka mu Luwalo” programme, describing it as a vital pillar in the Kingdom’s efforts to develop Buganda and promote economic self-reliance. He reminded leaders of the importance of professionalism in service delivery and the timely holding of meetings to ensure efficiency and quality service to the public.
Focus on Development in Ssingo
On his part, the County Chief (Mukwenda), Owek. Deogratious Kagimu, commended the Deputy County Chief III, Mwami Jjumba Stephen, for hosting the guests and organizing the leadership retreat at his school.
The Mukwenda reminded leaders that there are still outstanding issues requiring deeper understanding and attention to ensure Ssingo County continues to progress steadily. He called for unity and dedication among all leaders to meet the needs and expectations of the people of the county.
Strengthening Leadership Collaboration
The meeting brought together local leaders and advisors from Ssingo County and served as a platform for consultation and leadership training aimed at strengthening collaboration between grassroots leadership and the Kingdom’s broader development programmes.
The event concluded with leaders pledging to take the Minister’s message back to their respective communities, committing not just to words but to tangible actions visible on the ground.
