The Buganda Gaggadde Expo has officially been launched. It will take place from the 16th to the 25th of November under the theme "Promoting Tourism, Agriculture, and Animal Husbandry."
The Speaker of the Buganda Parliament, Oweek Patrick Luwaga Mugumbule, officially launched this expo and urged everyone in the country to attend the 2024 GaggaddeExpo. He emphasised that participating in the expo would enhance their knowledge and understanding of local initiatives and their locations, thereby improving their work quality and living standards.
Speaking from the gardens of Bulange, the Speaker thanked the Ministry of Tourism in the Kingdom for organising this expo, scheduled to run from August 16th to 25th at Lubiri in Mengo.
He added that Uganda has many unique tourist attractions that are not commonly found in other countries, such as wildlife, climate, and local cuisine. These features attract tourists and are some of the aspects Ugandans should explore at this expo.
The Minister for Information and Kingdom Spokesperson, Oweek Israel Kazibwe Kitooke, speaking on behalf of the Minister of Culture, Heritage, and Tourism, Oweek Dr. Anthony Wamala, stated that this year's expo is unique compared to previous ones. This time, it is focused on giving back to the people in the Karamoja region as part of efforts to strengthen the Kingdom's collaboration with other regions in the country.
