Thanksgiving prayers were held at the Adventist Church in Kireka to, as the Kingdom praised God for enabling the Kabaka to attain the 32nd anniversary of his accession to the throne.

In a message read out by Buganda Minister Hajjat Mariam Mayanja Nkalubo, Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga thanked the God for the life he has given the Kabaka to attain the 32nd commemoration and celebration of his inauguration.

The Katikkiro thanked the religious leaders who have prayed for the Kabaka and encouraged his people during all the challenging times Buganda has faced, and asked them not to tire of praying for him every day.

The pastor of the church, Daniel Ssenuuni, congratulated the Kabaka on his 32nd birthday and thanked God for the Kingdom which has helped the people in the development of health, education and other areas.

He thanked the Kingdom for kindly donating land on which various churches are built, which he called a God-honoring act that is not found in other countries.

The service was led by young children under the theme “I am young but I am able, give me a chance” with one of the young children, Jemimah Mugole, asking parents not to leave them out as children, but to give them the opportunity to participate in God’s service because it concerns them.
