Women at the Women's Convention
At the Scandinavian Buganda Women's Convention, women were trained in managing households and developing skills in various crafts.
This event was led by Dr. Sarah Nkonge Muwonge, the Chairperson of the Buganda Women's Convention, and held in Stockholm, Sweden.
Dr. Sarah Nkonge provided the women with workshops on building strong families, women's health, and professional development in various fields.
The event featured a presentation of the "Pilot Project" report for the Scandinavia region by Mrs. Janet Magato from AfriSwed, who collaborates with the region to support farmers in cultivating Sorghum.
The project assists farmers by providing land, seeds, and training, with the aim of helping them repay the investment after harvesting.
The goal of this project is to uplift the community's standards of living and strengthen the collaboration between women in the Scandinavia region and those in Buganda, as well as explore ways to participate in women's activities across the regions.
The workshop was coordinated by Mrs. Beatrice Kiwanuka, who heads the Women's and Children's Department in the Scandinavia region.
