Prince Golooba was born to His Majesty Kabaka Edward Muteesa II and Lady Magdalena Buwoomyaki on April 14, 1953. He passed away on February 23, 2025.

Prince Nakibinge Nadeem is the heir to late Prince Daudi Golooba and a grandson.

Chief Kasujju Lubinga Migadde Ssajjakambwe officially introduced him to the public. After the introduction, prayers were offered for the heir, and he was urged to lead his family with wisdom and integrity.

The Prince and Islam

The leader of Islam in Uganda, Prince Dr. Kassim Nakibinge, described Prince Daudi Golooba as a honest, morally, disciplined, and deeply devoted to his country.

Prince Nakibinge delivered this message at Kibuli Mosque in Kampala on Tuesday during a special prayer session for Prince Golooba, who had passed away on Sunday. The ceremony was led by Sheikh Muhammad Galabuzi.

Prince Nakibinge explained that Golooba's life changed significantly after the loss of his beloved brother, Nasser. He urged people to work hard while they are still alive and to leave behind a positive legacy.

The Katikkiro’s message on the late Prince

Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga expressed gratitude to His Majesty Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi for ensuring that Prince Daudi Golooba received medical care during his illness.

The Prime Minister stated that Prince Golooba was passionate about development and thanked the Kabaka and the royal family for their support during his time of illness.

He stated that Prince Golooba was a great advisor, possessing extensive knowledge from having witnessed his father, Kabaka Edward Muteesa II, lead for many years.

The Katikkiro added that Prince Golooba has left behind a significant gap and will be greatly missed for his contributions.

He thanked everyone who cared for him and the organizers who ensured his burial was conducted with the dignity befitting a prince and a Muslim.
