Nabagereka during the Buganda Women's conference
Nnaabagereka Sylvia Nagginda has urged women to utilise technology in everything they do to promote their work. The Queen was speaking at the 9th Buganda Women’s Conference under the theme “Let’s continue to support the work of women for real development.”
The Queen emphasized that if women adopt technology, they will benefit from everything they do. However, she said many women still stick to the old way of running their businesses, which has led to a slow growth in their work. She therefore urged them to end this practice so as to achieve real development.
The Queen also urged working women not to neglect their family responsibilities, emphasising that as the family is the foundation of humanity and a healthy nation, it must be given priority. She also urged women who are unwell, to know that it is God who gives the ability to carry out several tasks at the same time.

The conference was attended by the Ministers from Kabaka’s cabinet; Hon. Chotilda Nakate Kikomeko, Hon. Hajj Amisi Kakomo, leaders from the central government and leaders from the Kingdom at all levels.
The first Deputy Katikkiro, Hon. Prof. Twaha Kaawaase Kigongo, who presided over the closing of the conference, in his message, urged women to learn from the workshops organised at such conferences and said he is ready to assist them in the field of management and technology to ensure that they continue to develop their businesses.
The Minister for Human Settlements, Hon. Hajjat Mariam Mayanja Nkalubo, said women should be archers in saving the environment and climate change and urged them to adopt the Kabaka’s Forest initiative.
The conference chairman, Dr. Sarah Nkonge Muwonge, urged women to strive to discover their potential to help them develop their families. She thanked the Queen for coming out to support women’s initiatives and development in Buganda, which she said sets a strong example for them.
