Her Royal Highness, the Nnaabagereka Sylvia Nagginda, delivered a keynote address at St. Paul’s Cathedral Kako in Masaka – Buddu during a ceremony to ordain Canons, Deacons, Lay Readers, and Church Elders in the Diocese of West Buganda.

In her message, the Nnaabagereka called upon clergy and church leaders to emphasize spreading the gospel of humanity while preaching the Word of God.

She highlighted that humanity is a central theme in the Holy Scriptures as it encompasses truth, love, salvation, and unity. She stressed that promoting these values among the people will bring positive transformation and reduce immoral behaviors in society.

The Nnaabagereka also urged the clergy to continue supporting the people of Masaka in their developmental efforts, particularly in coffee farming. She noted that Masaka is renowned for coffee production, and by investing in this sector, families can alleviate poverty and hunger in their homes.

The Nnaabagereka expressed gratitude to the Bishop of West Buganda, Rt. Rev. Henry Katumba Tamale, for his outstanding service to the diocese. She praised his efforts to visit communities, collaborate with other faiths without discrimination, and encourage self-reliance through initiatives such as coffee farming.

She emphasized that these actions have significantly improved the livelihoods of the people in the region during his tenure.
