Omutaka Kisolo was addressing his descendants
The head of the Ngonge clan, Omutaka Kisolo, has organised a traditional cultural education workshop for his descendants to enhance their knowledge of Buganda traditions.
Opening the event this morning was Omutaka Kayiira Gajuule, the head of the Embogo Clan. The workshop is being held at the clan's residence in Lubaga.
Ssaalongo Noah Ssekirembe Kigongo, Katikkiro of Nakinsige, conducted a lesson on the final funeral rites of bursting death. He emphasised that tying the Clad in barkcloth with the left causes issues in the Clan. The woman heir is enthroned inside the house and handed a handbasket, gourd, and a black knife. Ssaalongo, although not dressed in Clad in barkcloth, receives it in his hands during the ceremony.
Omutaka Kisolo, the chief of the Ngonge clan, Mathias Kaboggoza, has announced upcoming changes in the clan's executive council. Those elected will undergo training to better prepare them for their roles. He expressed gratitude to the teachers, acknowledging that the course taught them how to manage clan affairs, particularly in establishing a clear chain
of responsibility from top to bottom. However, he noted there is still work to be done to ensure leaders are fully aware of their responsibilities in the Ngonge clan.

As part of the renovation efforts, Kaboggoza mentioned plans to upgrade the building housing the clan residence in Lubaga.
The Katikkiro of Kisolo, Ssaalongo Ediriisa Kitandwe, extended thanks to the descendants of Kisolo for their active participation in the workshop and for contributing funds to sustain it.
He urged them to intensify their service to the Clan in the areas of tradition, culture, and development, presenting them with the prioritised development plans for the year.
The Minister of Culture, Traditional Affairs, and Tourism, Hon. Anthony Wamala, addressed the descendants of Kisolo at the workshop's closing.
He urged them to leverage their numbers for the Clan's development, highlighting that issues often revolve around a few individuals taking on behalf of the Clan.
He proposed establishing a system where everyone contributes a little, adding to the collective total.
