The Katikkiro, together with family members, celebrates with joy in Kireka, marking 38 years of marriage for Andrew and Sarah Kaggwa
Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga urged people to strengthen good relationships with their family members and to work together for self-improvement in all aspects of life.
He notes that while many gather for events, both in times of joy and sorrow, they often neglect to find time to meet in happiness.
Family gatherings are best when they are not driven by sorrow or ceremonial obligations. Too often, people come together only for fundraising, wedding introductions, or ceremonies!
Today, I am with my elder brother, Andrew Kakeeto Kaggwa, as we gather with family to celebrate in joy. You know, money and status are valuable, but the greatest wealth lies in family and friendships.
My elder brother Kaggwa is my father in baptism. He raised me, guided me through my growth, and taught me valuable lessons—especially about building relationships and presenting myself well, which I credit to him. I thank him immensely for his support and congratulate him on reaching 38 years of marriage with his wife, Sarah Ann Kaggwa.
He has called on people from different families to support one another, each playing their part in building each other up with integrity.
Katikkiro Mayiga made these remarks in Kireka at the home of his brother, Andrew Kakeeto Kaggwa, where family gathered for this special celebration.
