The Kisekwa Council, led by Mr. Joshua Kateregga Kisekwa, has served for 11 years since its establishment on August 13, 2013.
Katikkiro expressed deep gratitude to the council members for their dedicated service, noting that their work has been marked by integrity and commitment, especially in researching all matters brought before them.
The Katikkiro stated that clans are the lifeblood of the Kingdom, and in our daily lives, we engage in clan matters such as weddings, naming ceremonies, and burial rituals, among others.
The importance of clans makes the Kisekwa Council a central part of the Katikkiro’s office because when leadership in the clans is strong, their descendants are well-grounded.

He urged all clan leaders to prioritise documenting the history of their clans to ensure that future generations can access accurate information from written records.
He also mentioned that a new council will soon be announced, although some members of the retiring council may return to be part of the new council.
This meeting, held at the Butikkiro, was attended by Minister Choltilda Nakate Kikomeko, representing the Minister of Culture and Traditions, and other key officials from the Kisekwa Council.
