Nankulu Macrina Nakuya Nkonge as she appeared in life
Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga has expressed his gratitude to everyone who offered their support during the passing of his sister, Macrina Nakuya Nkonge Nankulu.
In his remarks, Katikkiro said:
"On my behalf and on behalf of my father’s family, Cyprian K. B. Mukasa, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who stood with us during the burial of our sister, Macrina Nakuya Nkonge Nankulu, at Kayanja, Lwaggulwe, Buddu, on February 18, 2025.
Bp. Serverus Jjumba; Msgr. Charles Kasibante (on behalf of Archbishop Ssemogerere); priests and religious leaders; leaders in the Kabaka’s government; Members of Parliament and officials from the central government; Omutaka Namugera Kakeero; friends and family – all of you who came, sent prayers and messages, offered condolences, and provided various forms of support. We deeply appreciate it.
Your kindness and presence comforted us, and we pray that God blesses you abundantly and grants Nankulu eternal rest."

Katikkiro further described Macrina Nakuya Nkonge as a wise and compassionate person who played a significant role in caring for the family and supporting them in various ways.
"We have bid her farewell and laid her to rest in her eternal home. We thank God for her life and all that she accomplished, especially for the responsibility she took in guiding us. She was a role model in many aspects, and without her, some of us wouldn’t be who we are today.
She was a dear friend, and we will miss her greatly. We pray that God grants her eternal peace."
