Prince David Kintu Wasajja delivering the Kabaka’s message to the people of Buganda
The Kabaka of Buganda has urged his people to prioritize their health by embracing the Tubeere Balamu initiative.
His message, delivered through Omulangira David Kintu Wasajja, was read at the launch of the Tubeere Balamu Community Outreach health camp in Ssingo County, held at Ssaza Grounds in Mityana.
In his address, the Kabaka emphasized Buganda's commitment to bringing healthcare closer to the people, stating:
"As Kabaka Foundation pledged, this health camp has been set up in Ssingo as part of our mission to deliver medical care to our people in every county of the kingdom. We thank the people of Ssingo for embracing the Tubeere Balamu Community Outreach initiative. So far, Kabaka Foundation has covered three counties, with this being the third."
The Kabaka extended gratitude to medical professionals and hospitals participating in the initiative, as well as key partners such as Diamond Trust Bank, I&M Bank, and Buganda Kombucha.
He also acknowledged the support of religious leaders from different faiths, who have actively engaged in the campaign.

Key health findings from the initiative
As the campaign progresses, medical reports have revealed pressing health concerns among the people, including:
- ✅ A high prevalence of prostate-related diseases, particularly in men aged 40 and above.
- ✅ An increase in HIV/AIDS cases within communities.
- ✅ A rise in sickle cell disease (Nalubiri) cases.
In response to these findings, the Kabaka has encouraged his people to undergo regular medical check-ups and seek treatment where necessary.
A call to action
"We urge all our people to embrace the Tubeere Balamu initiative by prioritizing regular check-ups and treatment whenever necessary," the Kabaka said.
He also commended the Mukwenda, the Ssingo County Council, and all sub-county leaders for working hand in hand with Kabaka Foundation to organize the health camp.
