The first deputy Katikkiro of Buganda welcomed by the prime minister of Uganda, Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja
Let the celebration of Uganda’s liberation serve as a symbol of remembrance and a call to promote issues affecting the common person.
The First Deputy Prime Minister, Hon. Prof. Twaha Kaawaase Kigongo, has urged the government to focus on addressing the pressing challenges that affect individuals at the grassroots level.
He emphasized that Liberation Day, commemorated annually on January 26, should remind Ugandans and their leaders to prioritize these critical concerns.
Hon. Kaawaase delivered this message on behalf of Buganda during the 39th Anniversary Celebration of the NRM/NRA Liberation, held at the NTC Stadium in Mubende, Buweekula, on Sunday.
He noted that every generation has its unique chapter, which is reflected in the actions of its leaders. Hon. Kaawaase commended the NRA for restoring traditional leadership in Uganda, describing it as one of the most significant achievements that should never be forgotten.
