The efforts to strengthen the leadership of the Kingdom have been ongoing from grassroots to the highest levels.

The Kingdom, through the Ministry of Local Government, has been working on improving the visibility of the Kabaka and addressing issues affecting Buganda externally, while establishing a firm foundation for organising and overseeing activities in the Counties, with a focus on the administrative structure of the Sub-counties.

This week, the effort was taken to Bugerere County, where, as of today, Minister Kawuki met with the leaders of Sub-county Mutuba 1 Kitimbwa, including Ssaabawaali Galiraya and Ssaabaddu Bbaale.

These leaders provided Minister Kawuki with insights into how they manage their work, the challenges they face, their achievements, and ways to address various issues.

Minister Joseph Kawuki conveyed to these leaders the importance of using their offices effectively and with integrity, avoiding abuse, and maintaining a positive image of leadership.

He emphasised delivering accurate information from the ground so that residents receive truthful reports. He also encouraged them to use their energy to resist those who undermine the throne and to remember that the Kabaka's authority should be respected and not challenged.

Additionally, newly appointed chiefs at the district and official levels in Ssaabwaali Galiraya's Sub-county received official documents confirming their appointments.

The aim of this inspection was to address issues affecting Buganda's regions and promote unity among the people of Buganda.
