Youth with Hon. Ssalongo Robert Sserwanga
Young from Buganda, along with others who have cultural ties to the Kingdom and reside across Europe, gathered in Stockholm, Sweden, at Flottsbro, to strengthen their roots and cultural heritage. The theme was “Together, we can preserve our cultural identity.”
The annual camp attracted youth from several countries, including Sweden, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and others.
The Buganda Minister for Youth, Sports, and Talent, Hon. Ssalongo Robert Sserwanga, was the chief guest. He urged the youth to make deliberate efforts to learn and uphold their culture, which he described as the foundation of their identity.
Kabaka’s representative in the Scandinavian region, Hon. Nelson Mugenyi, thanked Minister Sserwanga for visiting and noted that efforts to instill cultural knowledge among diaspora youth are being warmly embraced.
The event was organized under the leadership of Paul Ntambi, the youth representative on the Scandinavia Ssaza committee, together with the Ssaza secretary, Mervyn Kagimu.
