The Prime Minister of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga, has urged law students at Gulu University to make the most of their educational opportunities to change their lives and future.
The prime minister was speaking at a meeting with the students who visited Mengo today and urged them to make the most of their youthful years as they are very useful.
He told them that the laws apply to everyone in their work and if followed properly it helps in building the country.
He urged them to be creative, diligent and hardworking if they are to succeed in the legal profession.
The Attorney General, Christopher Bwanika, praised the work of Dr Shadiks Mutyaba Ssemakula in establishing the law department at Gulu University.
The Katikkiro handed over birthday run kits to the students.
Mr Bwanika also urged the students to be hardworking to change their lives and to contact the Buganda Royal Law Chambers for legal training.
Leading the students, Miriam Nampeera thanked the Katikkiro for his recent visit to their university and praised him for being a community leader and a worker who has become a strong role model across the country.
He also thanked the King for his birthday run which he said has helped in the fight against AIDS across the country.
The students purchased 10 shirts to support the program.
The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Youth, Sports, and Arts, Hon. Robert Sserwanga who thanked the students for coming and asked this to be a sign for their colleagues in Gulu and other universities to visit the Bulange.
