The Deputy Speaker of the Buganda Lukiiko visited Buluuli County in a bid to strengthen the services of the Lukiiko among ordinary people and to demonstrate to the Kabaka’s chiefs the proper conduct of kingdom council sessions.

He was received by the County Chief of Buluuli, Kimbugwe Robert Ssonko Kaboggoza, and met the full county council, Buganda Lukiiko representatives from Buluuli, as well as sub-county chiefs.

In his remarks, Hon. Ahmed Lwasa, who represented the Speaker of the Buganda Lukiiko, highlighted key issues that need to be addressed in the county. These included the functioning of council meetings at different levels, education, health, land matters, social welfare, and development.

Hon. Lwasa was accompanied by Hon. Noah Kiyimba – Minister for Cabinet and the Lukiiko, Hon. Isaac Mpanga – Chairperson of the Legal Committee of the Lukiiko, Hon. Eisah Kakyama Mayanja – Clerk to the Buganda Lukiiko, among others.

During the sitting, representatives presented their concerns to the Speaker of the Lukiiko, focusing on issues affecting their constituencies.

Later, they were taken on a tour of the county headquarters, led by the County Chief of Buluuli, Kimbugwe Robert Ssonko Kaboggoza.
