Buganda Kingdom has organized a leadership training workshop for Nkobazambogo youth, equipping them with knowledge on various subjects, particularly leadership.

The training took place at Bulange, Mmengo, on Saturday, bringing together Nkobazambogo members from different schools and institutions. The youth were trained in key areas such as leadership, culture, traditions and tourism, media, technology, and other essential topics.

While addressing the participants, the Minister for Youth, Sports, and Talent Development, Owek. Robert Serwanga, urged them to understand that leadership is not just about holding a position but about fulfilling responsibilities to those they lead and their superiors. He encouraged them to be truthful, avoid distractions, and earn the trust of the people to lead effectively.

Owek. Serwanga also cautioned the youth about the responsible use of social media, advising them to seek constructive content and avoid potential dangers. He assured them that the Youth Ministry would continue to support their leadership development.

At the conclusion of the workshop, Nkobazambogo members were encouraged to show their loyalty to the Kabaka and actively participate in the upcoming celebrations of his 70th birthday.

This training is the first of three phases that youth leaders must go through as part of the structured leadership program by the Youth Ministry.
