As part of the celebrations marking 125 years of Our Lady of Grace Church in Nandere, Bulemeezi.
The Katikkiro of Buganda, Hon. Charles Peter Mayiga, and his wife, Margaret Mayiga, arrived at the event.
They were warmly received by the Bishop of Kasana-Luweero Diocese, Rt. Rev. Lawrence Mukasa, alongside the Deputy Katikkiro (First Deputy to the Prime Minister), Hon. Muzaaŋŋanda David Lule Mutyaba, and other dignitaries from the Buganda Kingdom.

In his address, Rt. Rev. Lawrence Mukasa said:
"We deeply thank His Majesty the Kabaka because it was his ancestors who laid a solid foundation for the establishment of Nandere Parish.
It was Ssekabaka Daudi Chwa II who donated the land on which this church stands, greatly aiding believers by reducing the long journeys they endured to access sacraments at Lubaga.

This brought God’s service closer to the people of Bulemeezi. Today, this parish has grown into the Kasana-Luweero Diocese, which has since established 21 other parishes.
We greatly appreciate the strong partnership between the Buganda Kingdom and the Church."
