
A Buganda Kingdom school head presents Senior Six results to Oweek. Choltlida Nakate Kikomeko
Heads of Buganda Kingdom’s secondary schools have presented the 2024 Senior Six exam results of their students to the Minister for Human Development and Education, Oweek. Choltlida Nakate Kikomeko. The event took place at Bulange, Mmengo, on Monday.
The results for Lubiri High School, Mmengo campus, were presented by the deputy headteacher, Namata Rita. A total of 123 students sat for the exams, with four of them scoring 19 points, while the rest obtained scores qualifying them for higher education.
At the Buloba campus, the results were presented by the headteacher, Mr. Ssebina Charles, who reported that their students also performed well, securing marks that will take them to higher institutions of learning. One of their students, Namutebi Bridget, scored 18 points.
At Bbowa Vocational Senior Secondary School in Luwero, headteacher Lubowa James reported that their students performed well, with the best candidate scoring 15 points, despite having a small number of candidates.

While addressing the school heads, Minister Nakate, who is also responsible for education, urged them to improve the quality of education in their schools by aligning with the current curriculum, particularly the new subjects introduced.
She emphasized the need to support female students, ensuring they stay in school and complete their education successfully to secure their future.
The minister also encouraged school leaders to guide students in choosing their Senior Six subjects based on their abilities and interests rather than just past performance.
Additionally, she advised teachers to educate parents on the importance of exposing students to learning environments outside the classroom, such as industries and tourism sites.
Minister Nakate commended Buganda Kingdom schools for maintaining integrity in examinations and praised the dedication of teachers who work hard to ensure students succeed.
