
As one of the ways to strengthen unity among staff in the work they do, employees of the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development, together with the Office of the Nnaabagereka, held an end-of-year celebration at Georgina Gardens in Lubya, Kyaddondo.
The Buganda Minister of Gender, Labour and Social Development, Hon. Clotilda Nakate Kikomeko, commended the organisers of the event, which aimed to promote interaction, strengthen teamwork, and enhance unity among staff working in the different departments under the Ministry.
Minister Nakate thanked God for the progress registered during the year, particularly in the Office of the Nnaabagereka, highlighting key achievements including a community outreach programme that attracted many participants. She also noted that under the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development, His Majesty the Kabaka graciously established 11 Early Childhood Development schools.
The Head of Human Resource Affairs in the Buganda Kingdom, Ms Josephine Namala, who was the chief guest at the function, praised the unity demonstrated by the Ministry’s staff and thanked them for supporting their Minister, Hon. Nakate, throughout the year in the execution of their duties.

The Executive Director of the Nnaabagereka Development Foundation, Mr Andrew Adrian Mukiibi, also appreciated the initiative and thanked God for the achievements recorded during the year.
The event was attended by staff from various departments of the Ministry and its affiliated institutions.
