Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga has urged women to resist men who try to lure them into sexual relationships without proper awareness or testing.
He delivered this message to women at Bulange in Mengo during the Kingdom’s commemoration of World AIDS Day, which included exercises and educational sessions on HIV/AIDS.
Katikkiro expressed concern over the high number of women living with HIV/AIDS, noting that some men contribute to the spread of the disease by offering gifts, money, or making seductive remarks to entice women.
He called on all Bugandans to remain vigilant against HIV/AIDS, emphasizing that Kabaka, as the leader in the fight against the disease, expects everyone to understand how to prevent it.

During the Kingdom’s World AIDS Day activities, participants engaged in exercise and awareness sessions on HIV/AIDS prevention. The Katikkiro reiterated that women should refuse sexual advances from men unless they are certain of their health status.
In the current era of Omutebi, under the leadership of Kabaka at the forefront of the fight against HIV/AIDS, everyone must remain vigilant. Katikkiro Mayiga encouraged testing, adherence to medication for those living with HIV/AIDS, and urged people not to stigmatize those affected.
