The women of Buganda in Ssingo County have expressed dissatisfaction with individuals who misuse social media to insult the Kingdom of Buganda and its representatives.
Speaking during an event organized for Buganda women in Ssingo at the Gombolola Headquarters of Mutuba 1 Bukuya, Kasanda District, the women, led by Oweek. Agnes Nkugwa, head of the Women and Children's Department in Ssingo County, advised parents to monitor their children’s online activities.
She also commended the Kingdom for initiating programs aimed at resolving family conflicts.
Oweek. Nkugwa encouraged children not to remain silent when subjected to abuse in their homes, noting that seeking help from Buganda’s leadership and other organizations could address these issues effectively.

In a report presented during the event, the women highlighted various challenges faced in their households, including domestic violence, disobedience among children, and financial difficulties.
Some security officers who attended the event urged parents to work closely with the Police’s Child and Family Protection Unit to better understand the law and seek help in addressing these challenges.
The women also showcased various skills, including cooking, making crafts, preparing local dishes, and other activities that demonstrate their expertise and contribution to their communities.
