Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga handed over the boats and motorcycles to the district chiefs at Kitamiiro village in Buvuma Islands.
Launching the tours, the Katikkiro said that any leader should reach out to the people he led and know about them.
In the fight against AIDS, the Katikkiro said one of the purposes of using the boats is to tell men to be key in the fight against AIDS and save girls.
The Katikkiro also showed statistics on AIDS since the King was made a star in the fight against AIDS in Africa. They show that young people are becoming more vigilant, patients are getting more medication, and they show that the number of tests is increasing.
Similarly, the King graciously gave a motorcycle to a district Veterinary to help him spread the gospel on agriculture and asked him to use it properly.
The Deputy Minister of Local Government, Oweek Joseph Kawuki, has highlighted Buvuma District’s successes under the current leadership.
The Katikkiro was presented with the achievements and challenges of various Buvuma leaders.
