Prof. Vincent Kakembo inaugurated as Vice Chancellor by Chancellor Hon. Justice Julia Ssebutinde during the 12th graduation ceremony
Prof. Vincent Kakembo was officially installed as Vice Chancellor of Muteesa I Royal University and awarded a five-year term. The installation ceremony was held at the university's main campus in Kirumba, Buddu, and was presided over by the Chancellor of the university, Hon. Justice Julia Ssebutinde, Judge of the International Court of Justice.
In his remarks at the event, Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga commended Prof. Kakembo for bringing a renewed sense of hope and transformation to the university. He praised the new Vice Chancellor's expertise and expressed confidence in his ability to elevate the university to greater heights.

The Chairperson of the University Governing Council, Dr. Mary Goretti Nakabugo, outlined the achievements recorded in 2024. The Kingdom’s Minister of Education, Owek. Chotilda Nakate Kikomeko, reiterated the Kabaka’s vision of enhancing education from the foundational nursery level to university. She urged parents to take advantage of the opportunities provided by the university.
