Kabaka’s Chiefs Urged to Uphold Loyalty to the King in All Their Service

Kabaka’s chiefs in a group photograph Hajj Hassan Kasujja Kagga, the Chief in charge of the Kayima’s seat, together with his deputy Dr. Mujuzi Pizaroh, organized a leadership retreat for the chiefs of Mawokota County held at Pope Paul Hotel in Ndeeba. Kaggo Hon. Hajj Ahmed Magandaazi Matovu represented the Buganda Minister for Local Government, Hon. Joseph Kawuki. In the message he delivered, he urged the chiefs and kingdom servants to remain loyal to the Kabaka and reminded them that all service they render belongs to His Majesty the Kabaka. He therefore encouraged them to be diligent workers and to exercise responsibly the authority entrusted to them — from the Kayima’s office down to the lower administrative levels. Hon. Kawuki further advised Kabaka’s chiefs to strictly follow the Kingdom’s administrative structure and avoid making mistakes. He emphasized the importance of maintaining discipline at all levels, describing it as the foundation of effective service in Buganda. In his remarks, Kaggo Magandaazi encouraged the chiefs to document all their work so that future leaders can learn from it and build on what has been achieved. He also called for cooperation among the chiefs and dedication to their duties in order to uplift their county’s performance. Hajj Hassan Kasujja Kagga expressed his gratitude to the Minister for accepting to facilitate such training sessions and requested him to continue offering them. The retreat was attended by County Chiefs (Abaami b’Essaza) and their deputies, members of the County Executive Committee, the County Speaker, as well as guardians and representatives from various counties, led by Mrs. Nakanjako Alexa.
