This was another annual celebration of Buganda Day, organized by Baganda living in New England, United States.

The First Deputy Katikkiro and Buganda’s Minister for Innovation, Technology and Public Administration, Hon. Prof. Twaha Kaawaase Kigongo, who was the chief guest, said:

"Anyone who understands the meaning of vision will never question why others strive to deepen their understanding of it."

Hon. Kaawaase encouraged Baganda in America to actively participate in the Kingdom’s programmes, including Luwalo, to contribute meaningfully to Buganda’s development.

He also urged them to strengthen their friendships and not allow politics or religion to divide them, but rather to nurture the values that unite them.

The Kabaka’s Representative for New England in the United States, Owek. Henry Ndawula Matovu, said the event is held annually to celebrate and promote the culture and heritage of Baganda living in New England.
