
The BARC committee in session at Bulange, chaired by the Second Deputy Katikkiro.
The Buganda Audit and Risk Committee (BARC), which is responsible for reviewing and preventing financial risks in the Kingdom, convened today at Bulange, Mmengo, for its final sitting of the year 2025.
The meeting, chaired by the Committee Chairperson and First Deputy Katikkiro, Hon. Prof. Twaha Kaawaase Kigongo, focused on reviewing the accounts of the Buganda Treasury, as well as the Auditor’s Report on the management and operations of Mutesa I Royal University.
The Buganda Treasury was represented by the Second Deputy Katikkiro and Treasurer of the Kingdom, accompanied by the Chief Accountant, Omuk. Joseph Mugagga, together with external auditors from Jasper and Semu Certified Public Accountants.

- Mr. Ssebbowa Frank, Chairperson of the University Board
- Hon. Prof. Vincent Kakembo, Vice Chancellor of MRU
