The provinces will be given 3% of the funds raised in Luwalo each year, to help run the operations in the provinces.
These were the words of the Minister of Local Government and Tourism, Oweek Joseph Kawuki, at the launch of this year’s Oluwalo, at the Bulange.
The Minister said the district that brings the most Oluwalo will be given a letter of appreciation; as well as 100 chairs, and a tent, to be used to raise operating funds. The most active district will be awarded a motorcycle, while the most active foreign district will be awarded a letter of appreciation and a portrait of the Kabaka.
The Hon. Kawuki, thanked the chiefs for their enthusiasm for the Oluwalo initiative and its fruitfulness.
