The Board is expected to assist in strengthening the quality, price, and market of coffee in Buganda, as well as to regulate the operation of cooperatives.
The ceremony was attended by the Chief Minister, Hon. Charles Pater Mayiga, today at the Bulange, urged the board to promote agriculture and cooperatives among women and youth.
The Hon. Amis Kakomo, the minister in charge of cooperatives, guided them on how to make the work fruitful.
The board is headed by Joseph William Kitandwe, with Dr. Ben Ssembajjwe. It has the following members: Harrison Richard Kaziro, Methodius Bakkabulindi Kasujja, Abdul Karim Sserwadda. Aida Nakawunde and Ali Nkalubo Zizinga.
The Board commended the Kingdom for its emphasis on promoting cooperatives and pledged to work skilfully to achieve the objectives of the Kingdom.
