They were led by the Mayor, Zacchy Mbeeraze Mawula, and met the First Deputy Chief Minister, Hon. Prof. Twaha Kaawaase. They showed him their plans and discussed how they will engage with the Kingdom on the roads that pass through the traditional sites including, the Kabaka’s Lake and the Kasubi Tombs.
They presented a 70-km project, to be installed for pedestrians, cyclists, disabled; 30 toilets, planting trees and improving roads leading to churches and hospitals.
Hon Prof. Dr. Twaha K. Kaawaase, thanked them for the initiative and thanked those who donated land for the roads. He urged these leaders to strengthen communication with the Kingdom by taking development in traditional areas. He also opposed the seizure of people's land for development.
He urged people to make proper use of signs and road signs to reduce accidents.
