Women led by Minister Mariam Mayanja are done with preparations
The preparations for the Buganda Women's Conference are complete. The venue is well-cleaned and decorated, security has been tightened, and teachers are ready.
While she was busy wrapping up preparations for tomorrow, the Minister of Welfare, Environment, and Human Settlements, Oweek Hajjat Mariam Nkalubo Mayanja, informed the new women attending the Conference that it will take place at the palace in Mengo, emphasising that there is no alternative location.
Minister Mariam emphasised that there are essential topics women should consider, including government taxes, insurance, the welfare of the boy child, and cultural matters. She also noted that they are anticipating more than 2000 attendees and requested that everyone bring along the ticket they've paid for.
The Chairperson of the Women's Conference, Omuk. Dr. Sarah Nkonge Muwonge, has urged women, especially those in Buganda provinces, to seize the opportunity of the conference and learn something that will enhance their lives and careers.
