Hon. Patrick Nalikka Ssendegeya the county Chief of Singo with the residents at the newly constructed borehole
The Hon. Patrick Nalikka Ssendegeya, the Kabaka’s representative in North West Coast America county (Northern California, San Francisco, and Nevada), visited a borehole water well constructed in Ssingo.
The well was built by the King's subjects from North West Coast America county, with assistance from the Rotary Club of Antioch, and is located at Kikooba Infant and Primary School in Kikooba parish, Mutuba III Bukomero sub-county in Ssingo.
Mukwenda David Nantaggya, the Ssingo county chief, welcomed him on behalf of the Minister of Buganda Foreign Affairs, Hon. Joseph Kawuki, and took him on a tour of the well to showcase the work done with the funds allocated to them.

Mukwenda expressed concern over the lack of clean water in the Kiboga and Kyankwanzi districts, hoping that the construction of these wells would bring a smile to the people of these areas. He also thanked the King for the opportunity, revealing that Wells of Life has built 847 wells in Buganda to provide clean water to the people as part of the health improvement initiative.
Addressing the residents of the village where the well was built, Hon. Nalikka said they undertook this initiative to support the King's call to improve the health of the people of Buganda by providing them with clean water. He also donated US$1,000 to the Kabaka Education Fund, emphasising the ongoing need to uplift the quality of education.
The Executive Director of BUCADEF, Omukungu Robert Mugenyi Musanze, a key figure in ensuring the smooth digging of these wells, expressed their significant investment in healthcare to ensure people access to clean water, which has been appreciated by the Wells of Life organisation.
Preparations for the handover of the well to the residents are underway.
