The King's loyal subjects from the Midwest in the United States made a significant visit to Bulange Mengo, presenting a generous donation of three million Ugandan shillings (Shs.3,000,000) to the kingdom.

The delegation was led by Mr. John Kisekka, who represented the King’s Ambassador for the Midwest province, Mr. Adbul Azizi Damulira.

Welcoming them at Bulange Mengo, the Minister of Local Government and Foreign Affairs, Hon Joseph Kawuki, was pleased to see that they brought with them children to know how things are going on in the Kingdom, and this further attached them to their King and their kingdom Buganda.

Minister Kawuki presented the activities of the funds from the donation including, organising health camps, teaching children about their clans, a coffee growing program, promoting education (Kabaka Education Fund), and maintenance of the Kingdom's activities including administrative buildings.

He requested them to encourage others to get involved in the Luwalo donation campaign to bring Buganda back to the top. He also urged them to teach their children their culture, especially the Luganda language as they are the ones to keep Buganda on top in the future.

Similarly, Mr Ronald Mukiibi of the USA through the luwalo program, has specially donated to Nkozi Trauma Center.

The meeting was attended by Permanent Secretary to the Katikkiro's Office, Official Josephine Nantege, Commissioner Harris Lubega, Buganda External Affairs Coordinator Ronald Kalungi, and representatives from all the Buganda provinces.
