The Kingdom of Buganda mourns the passing of Prof. Khiddu Makubuya, praising him for his dedicated service to the throne and the nation.

A message from the Kingdom was delivered by the Kingdom's Attorney General, Owek. Christopher Bwanika, who was one of Prof. Makubuya's students in the 1980s. He fondly recalled the guidance he received from Prof. Makubuya upon being appointed as the Kingdom's Attorney General.

These sentiments were shared during a memorial service held at Namirembe Cathedral, led by the retired Bishop of Luweero, Eridard Nsubuga.

The Katikkiro (Prime Minister) described the late Prof. Khiddu Makubuya as a man who loved his country and served it well as a Member of Parliament and in other leadership roles, always showing respect for others.

He thanked him for teaching them the law with great attention to detail, fostering a deep love for their country.
