Katikkiro Delivers His Message
Katikkiro, Charles Peter Mayiga, has once again urged the people of Buganda not to dwell on regrets but to work hard to support the Kingdom’s work.
He made these remarks while receiving a gift from members of the public who had visited Bulange, contributing over 112 million Ugandan shillings, and thanked them for promoting a spirit of federal cooperation.
Katikkiro emphasized that Buganda has never abandoned its federal responsibilities and remains committed to them, but the Kingdom will not dwell on regrets — instead, it will continue taking the steps necessary to thrive and reach the top.
Delegates from various counties included representatives from Mumyuka Kammengo, Mut. I Mpigi, Mawokota, and Busiro (Ssaabaddu Katabi and Mut. V Nakiwogo), while members of the Buganda diaspora from New York and New Jersey were also present.
Additionally, schools that have excelled in supporting Embuga’s initiatives contributed directly on an institutional basis, rather than through their counties.
