Katikkiro made these remarks at Kiganda Ssingo in the village of Ggumbya during the final funeral rites of the late Ssali Edward, the father of Oweek Joseph Kawuki and omukungu Charles Ssali.
It was during this event that he criticised those who advocate for the immediate announcement of the heir, suggesting that they are unwilling to endure the effort and patience required to follow and uphold the traditional process of final funeral rites.
He expressed gratitude to the family of the late Edward Ssali for conducting the funeral in accordance with traditional customs. Oweek Joseph Kawuki has been identified as the new heir to his father, Ssali Edward.
