The king was being briefed on the progress of the tombs' restoration work.
The King of Buganda, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, visited the Kasubi royal tombs located in Kasubi Nabulagala.
During his visit, he carefully observed the progress of the restoration work and expressed deep appreciation for the ongoing efforts. He emphasised that the work carried a profound sense of hope and encouragement.
The positive feedback resonated with the dedicated project team, significantly boosting their motivation.
Inspired by this heightened motivation, the project team committed—they are determined to complete the restoration soon, ensuring it meets the highest quality standards.
The King was also visiting the Njagala Kasaayi house and other houses in the Kasubi Tombs
In a remarkable turn of events, UNESCO declared the Kasubi Tombs a World Heritage Site in 2023, marking a significant milestone in its history. Consequently, plans are now underway to open the royal tombs to the public for visits shortly.
