The highly anticipated Bika Football tournament commenced at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku, with an opening match between Mamba Namakaka and Butiko.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Katikkiro Oweek Charles Peter Mayiga. In the inaugural match, the Gunju Descendants of Obutiko secured victory over the Gabunga Descendants of Mmamba with a score of 3-2.
Players Kagende Edrin, Namuwanda Steven, and Wandyaka Richard netted for Obutiko, while Kisaakye John Wesley secured both goals from the penalty spot.
