The Katikkiro handing over the trophy to the winners
Ngabi Nsamba emerged triumphant against the Mpindi clan in the Bika Football 2024 tournament finals, held at Muteesa II Memorial Stadium in Wankulukuku on Saturday.
The Hon. Patrick Luwaga Mugumbule visited the lineup of clan football players as they assembled before the match, accompanied by Minister Robert Serwanga and Omutaka Nakirembeka.
Nkima faced off against Mutima Musagi in the opening match. Ngabi Nsamba secured the shield in the clan football competition 2024, prevailing over Mpindi with a 1-0 victory, courtesy of a goal by Vianney Ssekajugo.
While crowning the winners, Buganda Katikkiro, Charles Peter Mayiga, congratulated them for their hard work. He also expressed appreciation to all the other participating clans for their support in boosting the kingdom's activities, which have nurtured great talent.

The Bika tournament not only provides a platform for young people to showcase their talents but also celebrates the different clans and the heritage of the Buganda Kingdom. It serves as a unifying factor in the kingdom and surrounding areas, and I am pleased to see the tournament garner such strong support and a loyal following within the kingdom," Katikkiro said.
He also highlighted the tournament's significant role in social and economic development, stating, "The tournament also plays a key role in social and economic development. People come together to rally behind their teams, both on and off the pitch, and engage in various entrepreneurial opportunities it presents.
