Mr. Alfred Bakyusa meets Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga after his appointment as BUCADEF executive director
Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga was introduced to Mr. Alfred Bakyusa, the new Executive Director of BUCADEF, the Kingdom of Buganda’s agency responsible for agricultural development.
The Katikkiro encouraged Mr. Bakyusa to focus on two key priorities: promoting coffee farming and eradicating poverty. He urged him to intensify efforts to mobilize women and youth to actively engage in coffee farming, improve the quality of coffee production, and foster participation in cooperative societies.
Additionally, Katikkiro shared essential principles to guide his leadership in this new era: innovation, transparency, diligence, and working with love. He expressed confidence that adhering to these values would make his work more efficient and foster the growth of BUCADEF.
Minister Hajj Amisi Kakomo officially presented Mr. Bakyusa to the Katikkiro during the ceremony.
