Today, the Minister of Culture and Traditions Affairs, Oweek. Dr. Anthony Wamala, visited the ancestral grounds of the Enkejje Clan in Namukuma, Kyaggwe.

This visit marks the 10th clan that the Minister has toured as part of the Kingdom’s initiative to visit clan ancestral grounds, aimed at revitalising and strengthening these cultural roots.

During his visit, Oweek. Wamala emphasised four key areas that will help rejuvenate the clans:

  1. Strengthening clan leadership at all levels.
  2. Preserving clan assets by registering the clan elders' councils.
  3. Engaging and inspiring the younger generation to take an active role in clan activities.
  4. Developing strategies for the growth of the clans, ensuring that leadership initiatives benefit the descendants.
