Minister Joseph Kawuki has met with county chiefs, their deputies, inspectors, and coordinators to discuss the work plan for 2025.

During the meeting held at Bulange, Mengo, on Tuesday, Minister Kawuki called on the Kabaka’s chiefs to encourage people to actively participate in the 2026 elections. He emphasized that participation in these elections is crucial for achieving a country that serves the people’s aspirations and desires.

Minister Kawuki explained that the current political atmosphere is highly active as the nation prepares for the elections. He urged the chiefs to focus on mobilizing people to elect leaders who will effectively represent them at the national level and to increase voter turnout.

As preparations to reopen the Buganda Kingdom nursery schools are underway, Minister Kawuki encouraged the chiefs to get involved in managing the operations of these schools to ensure they maintain high standards befitting the Kingdom’s reputation.

Additionally, the chiefs received training on malaria prevention and were tasked with spreading this awareness in their respective regions. This initiative is part of the Kingdom’s efforts to improve public health across the country.
