The Katikkiro inaugurating the new Board of Directors of Namulondo Investments Ltd
The Katikkiro of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga, has inaugurated a new board for Namulondo Investments Ltd.
During the inauguration, Katikkiro Mayiga emphasised the urgent need for the new board to take on their responsibilities with innovation and high standards, focusing on recovering unpaid rents owed by the central government for properties leased from the kingdom.
He expressed dissatisfaction with certain government entities, noting that besides the judiciary, agencies including prisons, police, and district headquarters have consistently failed to pay rent to the kingdom. This failure has caused financial losses and disrupted the kingdom's operations.
He made these remarks while speaking at the inauguration of the new Board of Directors of Namulondo Investments Ltd., led by Mw. Fredrick Mutebi Kitaka.
He requested the new Board to elect leadership capable of managing the agency's work with innovation and experience.
Additionally, he urged them to develop a plan to maintain the royal buildings, ensuring they present a positive image of the royal family.
