Katikkiro arriving at Entebbe International Airport
While addressing the press at Entebbe Airport, Katikkiro Mayiga stated that the main purpose of their visit to the Europe was to ensure that Ugandans living in Europe are kept informed about what is happening back home, understand the current situation in their countries of residence, and to continue fostering unity among them.
During the visit, the Buganda Convention in Europe was launched to further these objectives.
"We want to emphasise the importance of our people investing in Europe because the market is vast, and their money rate is good compared to ours here," said Katikkiro.
