The new head of the Mpologoma Clan , Omutaka Ssebuganda Namuguzi Erukaana Lukanga, was introduced to the Katikkiro of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga.

The Katikkiro requested that he educate his descendants about maintaining the values and traditions of their clan in line with the directives of the Kabaka (King) of Buganda.

This event took place at Bulange-Mengo, with Omutaka Kireega Patrick Ddungu Kisekka, the Clan Prime Minister, and other clan members in attendance.

Omutaka Ssebuganda Namuguzi Lukanga has taken over from his father, Namuguzi Wilson Ndawula, who passed away on August 14, 2024. He has been given a wife, Suzan Nalwadda, from the Ndawula Lukanga lineage.

Katikkiro Mayiga also urged parents to ensure that every child is given a name that helps preserve their heritage, noting that if every parent gave their children proper clan names, it would prevent cultural erosion.

The new leader of the Mpologoma Clan, Omutaka Namuguzi Ssebuganda Erukaana Lukanga, was presented to the entire clan and Buganda.

The Katikkiro wished him a successful leadership and advised him to uphold the values of the Kabaka, strengthen unity among the clan members, and enable them to understand their clan's heritage.

Omutaka Kireega Kisekka expressed confidence to the Katikkiro that Namuguzi Lukanga would be able to lead the clan effectively, as he had been close to his father since childhood.

However, he requested support from the Buganda Kingdom to enhance his education.

"Omutaka Lukanga was very close to his father, and I am confident he will perform his duties well. However, we ask the Kingdom to provide any opportunity for him to further his education," said Omutaka Kireega.

Omutaka Ssebuganda Namuguzi Lukanga is 27 years old. He comes from the Ssegamwenge lineage, and his mother is Faustina Nakirijja.
