The appointed Chief, Samuel Ssemugooma Ssengooba, has been installed as the Chief of Bugerere County, along with his first deputy, Hajji Bashir Ziraba, and his second deputy, Patrick Mugerwa.
All the traditional ceremonies associated with installing a chief for the Kabaka were properly observed.
During the installation, Minister Joseph Kawuki handed over a symbolic spear to Ssengooba, emphasising its significance as a weapon used to protect the kingdom.
The Chief of Bugerere was advised to continuously safeguard the Kabaka's people, preventing any disruptions from those who oppose the kingdom.
He was also encouraged to provide accurate information to the Kabaka's subjects, reminding them that the Kabaka, like all humans, faces life's challenges but is supported by the Prime Minister he appoints.

And he urged him to fight against those who insult the Kabaka and those who disrupt the kingdom's programs, including races, inter-county football tournaments, and others.
He was also encouraged to promote unity among the diverse communities living in Bugerere, ensuring that no one is discriminated against, as the Kabaka is a leader for all Baganda.
In the month of April this year, the Kabaka made changes among his county chiefs, with Ssengooba succeeding the late James Ssempigga.
